This is an easy bag to make, perfect for beginners. I used quilting cotton for all fabrics. Cut 2 each of exterior and lining fabrics: 10" wide by 12" tall (25.4cm by 30.5cm). Optional: cut 2 of medium woven interfacing (like Pellon SF101) for the back of the 2 exterior pieces. Cut 2 of contrast fabric: 10" wide by 2" tall (25.4cm by 5.1cm) (for casing) Cut 2 pieces of thin rope or ribbon, about 1/4" wide (6mm): 30" long (76cm) Seam allowance is 1/4" (6mm) You need a safety pin to insert the rope in the casing.
