I wanted to show you the potential of the drawstring skirt and how it can easily fit with any wardrobe: 1. Wear it with a belt over the waistband 2. Wear it with any cardigan or sweater over top 3. Simply leave your top untucked I felt so awkward filming this. Making clothing is one thing, but modeling it is not my forte 😳 My cheeks were red from embarrassment and my skirt that I kept on underneath kept showing at the bottom. I definitely can't make it look as elegant as all the beautiful styling videos I see on Instagram... But that's okay. I made the clothing with my loving hands and will gladly do a bad job of showing it off! I am so excited for whoever ends up with the skirt to wear it much more beautifully than I did! Do you have any other ideas for how to style this skirt?

Made a hack with drawstrings of the #strawberryshortcakedress and I’m obsessed. Will be sharing a YouTube tutorial on how to do it soon! The actual pattern uses elastic or shirring for fitting. One of the most difficult things about sewing is fluctuating in size and then no longer fitting clothes you put so much time and effort into and I really wanted to design a pattern that could be adjustable but also fitted and cute!
