Replying to one of my videos that went viral… a lot of questions on what is all that stuff in my new clients hair.. How did it get like that, how could you touch it, is it mould? Ok so she has matted hair that has formed into one big dreadlock and what you are seeing once ive cut into the matting is… Dead skin, build up from shampoo / conditioner when she had tried to wash it but then the product just got stuck, she actually suffers with psoriasis too on her scalp so effectively its dead flaky skin a bit more servere than dandruff, its called seborrheic dermatitis all up in there. Her scalp had to be treated carefully to make sure it was fully clean, If she was to wear hair extensions again its fine, but the psoriasis is something that she will always have to deal with and the stylist will need to know that she suffers with a bit of that, It doesnt effect the install of extensions and she can still wear them comfortably 💜 Most of you would of guessed what this could be after 2 years of the matt increasing, and thank you to everyone who has been so kind 💜 hope this helps! #mattedhair #meshintegration #dreadlock #hairloss #hairextensions #hairlosssolution #hairtransformation #hairlosssolutions #meshintegrationsystem #peterboroughhair #hairdresserpeterborough #hairstylist

TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️ Please no judgement on my new client, We don’t judge at @iconicfckinhair, and we encourage you to do the same 🥹 Each person’s journey is unique, and no two individuals are identical, we haven’t walked in her shoes, this diversity is what keeps life interesting! My girl travelled 3 hours as she knew we could help her, the matted mess needed to come off it was painful, dry, it was pulling and getting bigger and bigger, it was rock solid! She was happy to go short if needed as long as I could give her long hair back right away! She is in a different head space now and can look after herself, and had extensions in the past with no issues so she’s been so excited for this glow up! First I had to tackle the beast that is that huge dreadlock, this took 2 hours to remove and treat her natural hair and scalp.. Then it was over to get the mesh integration on, I used a custom coloured 6x6 lace closure by @hairextensionsbyunique and 200g of wefts in matching colours 😍 Obsessed with this gorgeous mix!
