If you are Learning driving as an adult, it feels very different from learning it as a teenager. there’s already a lot happening inside your mind. When we learn later in life, we carry: More responsibility More fear of mistakes More awareness of consequences And honestly… more pressure to “get it right.” I learnt driving much later than most people around me. And what made it difficult wasn’t the road , It was the voice inside me saying: “You should already know this.” “You’re too old to struggle with this.” “Don’t embarrass yourself.” But here’s what I slowly understood… Learning something new as an adult is different yet never too late. Because you’re not just learning a skill, you are unlearning years of fear, perfectionism, and self-doubt. All we need to do is allow ourselves to be beginners. Once I gave myself permission to learn slowly… repeat routes… make small mistakes without judging myself… Driving started feeling less scary and more possible. If you’re learning driving after 25, 30, or 35 — you’re not late. You’re just learning with more awareness, more responsibility, and more courage than you realise. Share this with someone who needs that push to keep going…. . . . . . . #fearofdriving #childhoodtraumarecovery #chennaimoms #confidencefromwithin #chennailifestyleblogger

Tips to Pass your Driving Test First Time - Don’t drive too slow! Driving slow can be as dangerous as speeding as this could lead to traffic behind you overtaking in a dangerous manner. It’s important to keep a suitable speed for the road type and conditions e.g. if there’s lots of hazards you may have to reduce the speed and if the road is clear and empty you may build up to the speed limit. You’re allowed 15 minors on your test. But even 1 serious fault would be an instant fail. Anything that’s marked S/D (serious/ dangerous) on the examiners mark sheet is a serious fault. This means you did something unsafe or showed poor judgment which could have lead to danger. You can actually fail for driving too slowly. There’s a speed limit for a reason and if you purposely go under it for no reason it could get dangerous for the cars around you. You will fail for climbing a curb! You will be let off if you clip or touch it but you should never climb it. (Unless the examiner tells you so during parking) There’s only so many possible test routes that you will go through since a driving test is based around the driving test centre. If you want to practice the routes download the ‘Practice driving test’ app. I’ve put a link in the bio! You can drive home as soon as you pass. You do not need your physical licence since you have your certificate. Make sure your car is properly taxed and insured though. #practicedrivingroutes #practicedrivingtestuk #passfirsttime #drivingtesttips #completeguidfordriving

Take a bottle of water with you. Everytime you pull over, take a sip and take your time. This not only calms your nerves but also stall time! Less time you drive the less likely you’ll make silly mistakes! 😉 If your car continues to stall when you’re trying to start it even though you usually have such good control then you might have left your gear on 2 or 3! This happened to a student and she didn’t notice until I had to step in! 😕 If you stall once or twice it’s not a fail but if you repeatedly stall then it shows you don’t have complete control of the car and that’s when you will fail! Learning the test routes are like a cheat code! You can’t be surprised if you’ve already driven on the same roads before! A lot of learners use this app ‘Practice driving test uk’ for the routes! Link in bio Take your time and don’t make rash decisions. To avoid being faulted for hesitation, speak out loud about what you’re about to do and be confident about it. As long as you are calm collected and controlled then you’re good. #practicedrivingroutes #practicedrivingtestuk #passfirsttime #drivingtesttips #completeguidfordriving #learnerdriver
