We passed through U.S. Preclearance, and after a short walk we were seated at a fantastic window seat enjoying 51st & Green’s terrific views. Stylishly designed and spaciously “Zen”, the Lounge has a minimalist feel with a calming coral and terracotta colour palette, and a chilled ambient soundtrack to match. We indulged ourselves with a great hot and cold breakfast selection, and a glass or two of fizz. A full Irish breakfast is available alongside bakery items, pancakes, granola, artisan cheese & charcuterie platters, and fruit & yoghurt. It’s one of the most common complaints, and it’s why travel day can feel more stressful than expected. Here’s what works and how to choose the right option. 🚌 Bus options
The Aircoach and Dublin Express are the most popular choices.
They’re affordable, comfortable, and stop near major hotels in the city center.
That said, the buses don’t go everywhere, and traffic into Dublin can make the ride longer than you expect. 🚕 Taxis
Taxis are plentiful at Dublin Airport, but traffic can be brutal during peak hours.
Expect roughly €30–40, and more if you hit rush hour.
I usually recommend a cab if you’re in a group, so you can split the cost. How I decide * Solo or with one other person → bus * Traveling as a group → taxi * Awkward bus schedule for your flight time → taxi * Light luggage and flexible timing → bus The real wildcard is timing.
If your flight departs when buses are infrequent or traffic is backed up, you may not have much choice, and that’s kind of normal. 🤷🏻‍♀️ This isn’t about finding the “perfect” option.
