I recently visited a small village called Dzuleke, which is actually an extension of Khonoma. It’s tiny - maybe just around 20 houses but the warmth and simplicity of the place left a lasting impact on me. There’s no network in the village, and yet I’ve never felt more connected to nature, to myself, and to the people around me. The view from our homestay was absolutely breathtaking, and our host - the auntie, truly had a heart of gold 🫶🏻 ✨ Here’s how you can reach: 👉First, reach Kohima, the capital city. 👉From Kohima, there are no shared taxis to Dzuleke. You’ll need to hire a private taxi, which costs around ₹1200–1300. 👉 We took a private taxi from Kohima to Khonoma for ₹600 and stayed there for 2 nights. Then took another taxi from Khonoma to Dzuleke for ₹600. After spending a night in Dzuleke, we returned to Kohima, and the taxi cost ₹1300. ✨Entry & Stay: 👉Once you reach Dzuleke, get down at the Tourist Information Center. 👉Pay an entry fee of ₹20 per head. 👉They will help you with everything - from arranging your homestay to local guidance. You can’t directly choose a homestay, as the village follows a rotation system to support every local family equally. ✨Things to Do: 👉There’s no mobile network, so it’s perfect for a digital detox. 👉There’s nothing majorly touristy, but the peace, slow pace, and natural beauty are the real experiences. 👉In winters, you can try riverside camping. 👉During monsoons, better to stay in a homestay due to snakes and leeches near the riverbanks. You can also go to Heunambe Village & Poliwa Sheep farm ✨🫶🏻 . . . . #dzuleke #nagaland #nagalandtourism #angami #nagapeople #nagalandfood #northeast #northeastindia #unexplorednortheast #offbeatnortheast #northeasttourism #nagalandreels
