EASTER SIDES: HONEY BUTTER CARROTS Wishing everyone a happy Easter weekend! #reels Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 425° 2. Peel and cut carrots. Place carrots into a mixing bowl. Add butter, honey, garlic, ginger powder, cinnamon, salt and pepper and mix well. 3. Transfer carrots to a baking sheet and bake for 25-28 minutes. Give them a shake halfway. 4. Garnish with parsley and more salt to taste.

Garlic Greens & Crispy Potatoes A simple, delicious side that always earns a spot on the Easter table. Garlicky beans, golden roast chat potatoes and crunchy prosciutto through the middle for that perfect salty finish. Fresh and so easy to make. Here’s how I do it: 1kg chat potatoes 350g green string beans 2 tbsp duck fat (or 3 tbsp olive oil) 1/3 cup water 1 tsp dried oregano 3 strips prosciutto 2 large garlic cloves 20 g butter Olive oil Salt and cracked black pepper • Preheat oven to 230°C • Halve the chat potatoes and parboil for 10 minutes • Add to a baking dish with salt, pepper, oregano, duck fat, olive oil spray and water • Roast for 30 minutes, tossing halfway, until golden • Trim beans and simmer for 3 minutes, then strain • In the same pot, melt butter with olive oil and gently cook the grated garlic (don’t let it brown) • Add beans back in, turn off heat, then add roasted potatoes and toss • Fry prosciutto until crisp, chop and sprinkle over the top A beautiful side for lunch or any gathering. #dezicooks #eastersalad #entertaininginspo #easysidedish

CREAMY CARISMA POTATO GRATIN Are you after something comforting, delicious and completely stress-free this Easter? This is one of those sides that looks impressive but is actually so easy. It takes about 20 minutes to prep, then straight into the oven and that’s it. No fuss, no complicated steps. Made with @carisma_potatoes , you get beautifully tender layers that hold their shape, baked in a creamy, cheesy sauce until golden and bubbling on top. Perfect alongside roast lamb, chicken or even just a fresh salad. It’s simple, reliable and always a crowd favourite. Save this one for your Easter table. Serves: 8 Prep Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 10 mins Ingredients 1.5-1.75 kg Carisma potatoes ½ cup grated parmesan cheese ½ cup grated mozzarella cheese 1 cup thickened cream ½ cup milk 2 tablespoons butter, melted 1 teaspoon onion powder 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon paprika Sea salt & cracked black pepper Extra grated parmesan, mozzarella, or Gruyère for topping Fresh rosemary to serve Method Preheat the oven to 200°C conventional (180°C fan-forced). Grease a 28 × 18 cm baking dish. Using a mandoline or a sharp knife, slice the potatoes 1 mm thick. In a large bowl, combine parmesan, mozzarella, cream, milk, melted butter, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and a generous pinch of sea salt and cracked black pepper. Add the potato slices and gently toss to coat each slice thoroughly, separating any that are sticking together. Arrange the potato slices vertically in the baking dish, packing them tightly together. Pour any remaining cream mixture evenly over the potatoes. Cover with foil and bake for 50–55 minutes. Remove the foil and sprinkle extra grated parmesan, mozzarella, or Gruyère over the top. Return to the oven and bake for a further 15–20 minutes, or until the top is golden, bubbling, and slightly crispy. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
