Witchcraft has always been an accessible form of magic. For thousands of years, witches used the tools they had available to them — many of which were collected and handmade from the land they lived on. ⁣⁣ ⁣ Modern witches carry on this tradition, repurposing items found around the home or foraged from the land for spells and rituals.⁣ ⁣ Here are a few rituals, spells, and crafts that don’t require any tools at all, or that only call for tools you almost certainly already have at home:⁣ ⁣ ☾ Divination using tea leaves, water or fire scrying, augury (based on the behavior of birds), dream interpretation, automatic writing, etc.⁣ ⁣ ☾ Speaking, singing, or chanting an incantation, affirmation, or prayer.⁣ ⁣ ☾ Draw a sigil using pen and paper. Use it charge an item, place it under your pillow or somewhere in the home, burn it, etc. (depending on the specifics of the sigil and your intention).⁣ ⁣ ☾ Craft something using gifts from nature (besom / broom, ward stones, pentagram, wreath, etc).⁣ ⁣ ☾ Practice spirit flight / trance journeying.⁣ ⁣ ☾ Make moon water by setting a bowl of water in the moonlight. Use it for cleansing or blessing, to draw sigils on doors and windows, to anoint yourself or spiritual items, to add to a bath, to water your plants, etc.⁣ ⁣ ☾ Cast a simmer pot spell using herbs in your kitchen or from your garden that correspond to your chosen intention.⁣ ⁣ ☾ Make a floor sweep using salt and rosemary (or other herbs) for cleansing your home energetically.⁣ ⁣ ☾ Write something you wish to manifest or banish on a piece of paper and burn it.⁣ ⁣ ☾ Meditate.
