Comment “7” + Follow and I’ll DM you the exact checklist you need to select a good university! Thinking of Studying in the UK? Read this BEFORE you pick a university. These 9 are popular but risky for international students 👇 1️⃣ University of Derby 96.9% employability = mostly local jobs. ❌ Weak in Tier 2 cities & visa-sponsored roles. 2️⃣ Sheffield Hallam “Skilled job” stats favor UK/EU grads. 📉 Limited Tier 2 exposure = tough for international careers. 3️⃣ Leeds Beckett Career tools like Student Circus ≠ enough. 🌍 Weak access to global job markets. 4️⃣ Birmingham City Focuses on local hiring not visa sponsors. 💬 Many rejections purely for being international. 5️⃣ Liverpool John Moores Half of grads stay in low-sponsorship zones. 💼 Degree ≠ global job outcome. 6️⃣ University of Lincoln Far from top Tier 2 cities. 📉 Poor industry exposure for internationals. 7️⃣ UWE Bristol Good rankings for UK citizens. 🔒 Rare visa-sponsored roles in the region. 8️⃣ University of Plymouth Great for marine science not business/tech. ❌ 95% employability = mostly ineligible roles. 9️⃣ Bangor University Gorgeous but isolated. 🚫 No real access to global recruiters. #InternationalStudentsUK #UKStudyAbroad #Tier2Visa #UKUniversitiesToAvoid #PostStudyWorkVisa #StudyInUKTips #GlobalCareers #VisaSponsorshipJobs #UKStudentGuide #StudyAbroadCoach #UniversitySelectionTips #EducationAbroad #AvoidTheseUniversities

I’ve been living in Germany for 3 years now and honestly, I understand the confusion regarding the overall process of applying for a Masters degree here. Here’s a step-by-step guide for you which you can follow 🇩🇪 ▶️ Step 1: Where to Search? The DAAD website (www.daad.de) - It’s the official and most reliable source for finding Master’s programs in Germany. ⌨️ Go to daad.de → “Find Master’s Programmes” → Apply filters for: • English-taught programs • Subject area (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Data Science, Management, etc.) • Semester intake (Winter = October, Summer = April) • Type of university (TU, FH, or University of Applied Sciences) -> Always read details on official University website before applying. ▶️ Step 2: How to shortlist Universities? Focus mainly on: -> The course content (syllabus that matches your interests) -> Admission requirements (is your Bachelor’s degree or work experience eligible?) -> Language (English-only or mixed with German) -> Application deadline -> Tuition fee (most public universities are free, but few charge some fee per semester) ▶️ Step 3: Track the applications -> Make a simple Excel or Notion tracker. -> I have a simple excel sheet which I used for tracking my applications. Comment “track” and I’ll send you the example sheet for tracking. -> Don’t apply blindly everywhere, instead apply where your profile fits best. ▶️ Step 4: Now how to apply? 1. Uni-Assist (uni-assist.de) → Many public universities use this portal for handling international applications. 2. Direct university application → Some universities have their own online portal (like FAU, TU Munich, KIT, etc.) Check the “How to Apply” section on each program’s official website where it tells you exactly where and what documents to submit. Key focus: 📝 Winter intake (Oct): Deadline usually between Nov to Mar 📝 Summer intake (Apr): Deadline usually between May to Oct. Save this and follow for more such info. 💌 [Masters in Germany, application process, how to apply, international students, how to shortlist universities, DAAD, for you reels, for your page, explore Germany, instafeed]

How to Apply for Master’s in the UK? Here is how: 1) Decide on the course that you want to pursue. There are hundreds of specialisations available in various fields ranging from biomedical, geosciences, psychology, engineering to management and what not. 2) The University - You can decide on the university by means of Ranking and curriculum and the location. You can refer to QS Ranking, THE ranking and the FT ranking. Academic requirements: 1) Most UK universities ask for an English language proficiency test - IELTS/TOEFL - if English is not the first language or if it’s not majorly spoken, this criteria varies depending on the country you’re from. 2)Looking to apply for an MBA or Management based degree? You’ll also need a GMAT/GRE Score.Cut-off will be mentioned in the University application criteria page. 3) Statement of Purpose (SOP) - Super Important!!! This tells briefly why you want to apply to this certain university and your motives. Spend more time on this as it’s got major weightage. Sometimes, you will also need to submit an essay. 4) Letter of Recommendation (LoR) - usually written by an employer you work with or a professor from your undergrad, where they say about your qualities and why they see you fit for the master’s program. Here’s what I actually did during my Masters. No referrals. No recruiter assistance. No luck. No shortcuts. 1. I did ONE future-focused action every single day. One alumni message. One CV tweak. One application (Full-time/Part-time/Internship). Thirty minutes working on a project. It doesn’t feel life-changing in the moment, but 90 days of this changed everything. 2. I set my OWN deadlines and respected them. No one chased me. So I became my own manager. Weekly goals. Daily checklists. Written on paper, not in my head. Every time I followed through, I trusted myself more. That discipline showed up in interviews too. I wasn’t perfect , but tried to be consistent. 3. I built ONE thing of my own , apart from the university degree. Not just assignments or online courses, but learning trending topics in my field and getting the international certifications. I treated my CV like a product and my LinkedIn like a living portfolio. I shared what I was learning, broke down BA concepts, documented projects, and refined my story every month. That’s what employers notice. 4. I networked with purpose. Some of my most useful conversations came from students in tech, finance, management, and people already working in the UK. I stopped attending parties that consumed my energy , rather showed up in places where connections mattered. Different circles expose you to different thinking, roles, and opportunities you didn’t even know existed. 5. I protected my health like it was part of the plan. Morning walks, movement, and learning before scrolling. Even my Instagram reels and YouTube search were all about career building. Because what you consume mentally and physically decides how you show up. And showing up well is half the battle. No gatekeeping. This is what actually worked for me. If you’re working in the UK already, I’d love to hear your story. What did you do differently? What would you tell your younger self? And if you’re still searching, please don’t feel hesitant to speak up. I’m always happy to share what I know or guide you in the right direction.
