A reminder to put sunscreen on your face. I have to do this cream twice a day for 2 week. The first week I didn’t notice much other than a little irritation. But these last 2 days it has really brought a lot of spots out that I didn’t see before. It is burning 🔥 #efudex #skincancer #skincancerawareness #sunscreen #dontjudge #kindness

If you are undergoing this treatment here is what I have found helpful. ✅️ Products During your treatment put all your normal skincare away, even cleansing. I used Vaseline as a barrier for lips, eyes and nostrils during application. During the healing phase I found Bepanthen very soothing during the day and also a great anti-bacterial, if the skin is broken. To moisturise I used Aspect Dr Redless and Nutrimetics Nutri-rich oil at night. Both legendary healing products but you could stick with Bepanthen. For sunscreen I used my absolute favourite brand Airyday Pretty in Zinc. Remember to only use a physical, zinc based sunscreen and test patch as inferior brands can sting. #flurouracil #efudex #skincancertreatment #australiansummer

I thought I was sun-smart but this cream is proof I needed to be smarter! Have you done the “fluorouracil” or efudex treatment? I thought I was sun-smart but as this topical chemo cream picks up all the damage. I feel a bit two faces on the whole ‘shade your place/face thing! Share your experience … it seems we’ve forgotten how devastating skin damage is so how did you find this treatment and what do you do to look after that new shiny skin?? Day 7- Day 15 ⚠️ warning gets pretty narley looking ⚠️ Skin cancer treatment update Topical chemo cream treatment is done , now we move on to the healing and recovery phase . This has truly been eye opening since I did not full expect to have the skin ulcers, ruptures and all out severe reaction that has occurred. Sent my girl Allison pictures ( she’s my dermatologist ) and she called right back . “ really great response , we’re killing those cancer cells quickly !” Praying that this is the last time i ever have to do this - 47 years old here and I plan on a long healthy life and there is no tan that is worth dying for !! Actinic keratoses , “AK’s” are precancerous lesions that have the potential to turn into squamous cell carcinoma skin cancers. Not all of these do turn into cancer, but some of them do, and we don’t know which ones would so we treat them when we find them, as this can prevent cancer.
