I grew up on Hong Kong Egg Waffles. It was a very common street stack in Hong Kong and Taiwan, but when we came to Canada, it was a super special item only when we visited pacific mall or Chinatown. How nice is it to just have an egg waffle maker in our own house now so I can make it anytime I want. Also I own a large plastic jug just so I can pour out the batter properly. and in the morning, we're making CHAFFLES 🧀🥚🧇 all you need is shredded cheese + eggs (+ scallions if you like a little oniony flavor like me) to make these GF, low-carb waffles.⠀ ⠀ here's how to make #chaffles:⠀ • preheat your waffle iron to medium-high⠀ • whisk together 3 eggs, 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese & 2 finely chopped scallions⠀ • pour mixture into waffle iron and cook for about 5 minutes, or until the egg is fully cooked. repeat until you've used all of the "batter."⠀ • that's literally all! eat em plain, with hot sauce, maple syrup, honey butter, or whatever you freakin want!!⠀ ⠀ lmk if you try them! 💛

This is the best hack!! All you need to do is: -crack an egg in a bowl and whisk it -chop up your favorite veggies -spray mini waffle maker with cooking spray -add egg and veggies to mini waffle maker -cook until done and serve! My kids actually love this even with the veggies, which is so surprising because they usually won’t touch anything that has green in it. Definitely try this one out! Makes 2 waffles You need: 1 large egg 1/4 cup shredded cheese 1/3 cup chopped lightly steamed broccoli Salt and pepper to taste Optional: sliced green onions Enjoy as is or serve with toppings of your choice. I served with sliced half avocado and marinaded tomatoes Note: - I used a mini waffle maker. You may use a larger one and make one large waffle. - do not over fill the waffle maker. I was looking on camera and didn’t realize I filled it too much. Use half the amount and make 2 waffles instead.
