Do you know the difference between a Dancehall routine and choreography? 👀 Many dancers don’t - so here is an explanation 🎥 On the left, I’m showing a routine - usually 1/2 eights of a basic step. It’s done in a steady tempo, with little to no musicality. Why? Because routines are meant to train a specific move or technique. They’re super useful when you want to build precision and repetition. On the right, I’m dancing a choreography – still rooted in Dancehall steps, but here I play with musicality, tempo changes, and dynamics. The basic steps are broken down, transformed, and adapted to the music. ➡️ Watch closely and you’ll see the difference between a routine and choreography.
