1. Place your diffuser in a high traffic area 2. Flip the reed sticks once in a while 3. If needed, replace your old reeds with new ones 4. Keep away from direct sunlight, heat sources and air conditioning vents (as these evaporate fragrance) 5. Don’t expect it to fill a large room with fragrance. HOW TO USE A REED DIFFUSER 😍 1. Choose the Right Spot • Place your diffuser somewhere central or near a light draft (like by a doorway or open window) so the scent circulates. • Avoid direct sunlight, heaters, or air conditioners excess heat makes the oil evaporate too fast. 2. Insert the Reeds • Remove the bottle cap (if there is one) and carefully place the reeds into the fragrance oil. • Let them soak for a few minutes, then flip them so the saturated ends face outward. This kick-starts the diffusion. 3. Flip Reeds Periodically • Turn the reeds over every few days or once a week for a stronger scent. • Be careful where you flip, do it over a sink or paper towel so you don’t drip oil onto furniture. 4. Adjust the Scent Strength • More reeds = stronger scent but faster oil use. • Fewer reeds = softer scent but longer lasting. • If the scent gets too faint, replace old reeds, they clog over time and stop diffusing well. 5. General Care Tips • Use only diffuser oils (not regular essential oils, which may be too thick). • Keep away from children, pets, and surfaces that can be stained by oil. • When the oil runs low, either refill with the same scent or thoroughly wash the bottle before switching fragrances.

Why buy when you can DIY? DIY reed diffuser are so simple to make! I’m not a big fan of air fresheners or artificial scents so I love to make these homemade reed diffusers to add some scent and aromatherapy in my home. These are so easy to make, made with simple & natural ingredients, and they smell amazing. You can easily create your own scents or use one of the suggestions below. What scent combo are you creating? What you’ll need: ⁃ 4 ounce glass container (narrow opening is best) ⁃ 6 to 8 reeds (I’ll link my faves in stories) ⁃ 40-50 drops of essential oils (I use @nowfoodsofficial, use code AMBER to save 20%) ⁃ 1/2 cup sweet almond oil (or fractionated coconut oil) ⁃ Optional: 1 Tablespoon of alcohol (vodka), to help oil mixture move up the reed faster. Add essential oils and sweet almond oil (& alcohol, if using) into glass jar and swirl to mix. Add reeds, let sit for a few minutes and then flip to saturate both ends. Every few days flip the reeds to reinvigorate the scent. Few scent blends that I like: ⁃ Freshen up: 15 drops each of lemon, tangerine and peppermint ⁃ Fall vibes: 20 drops orange, 10 cinnamon & 10 clove ⁃ Sweater weather: 20 drops juniper, 15 drops cedar wood, 10 drops sandalwood, 5 drops wild orange ⁃ Clean air: 10 drops lavender, 10 drops eucalyptus, 10 drops rosemary, 10 drops orange . . . . #cleanhomehappyhome #diyhomedecor #essentialoils101 #craftyhome #nontoxicliving #nontoxichome
