I am wanting to spread awareness on the aesthetics industry and how hard it can be to run a business. I have been very vulnerable online here with how hard it can be being a business owner. There is this rollercoaster that your on and believe me if your not in the right mind set, it could truly impact your mental / physical health. Did you know that only about half of small businesses survive past the five-year mark, ranging from 45.4% to 51% depending on the year the business was started. Clinic operators have to be certified , educated, deal with the public daily, make sure inventory is available, pay for high over head of machine costs to allow clients the best results, employee wages and educational advancements, the big one now a days is staying relevant on social media platforms - this feels like a full time job on its own. Small businesses owners are often a one person show. I have had so many injectors and new nurses reach out wanting to get into aesthetics, the truth is it’s a hard business to stay up and relevant, as well as it’s a very expensive business start up. It will take long hours of work, lots of education of patient safety and a good mind set to keep you in the game. Your going to need to push hard and continue to do so. Always remember, why you started doing what you love to do and it will bring you back to push harder. Don’t give up on your dreams, if you believe it will happen, it will happen.
