no nursery yet 😊 now i’m not even rushing it since I can work from home an extra 1-2 months at home won’t change much for my medical career, but it might matter a lot for her. she just didn’t get a spot in the nursery we wanted — and honestly? she’s 19 months and not in daycare yet. here’s why we’re taking our time: 1. i want her to be able to communicate with me — to tell me if something’s wrong or share what her day was like. i had a difficult experience with a nursery teacher growing up, and it made me more mindful about when she’s ready for that step. 2. she’ll be navigating two languages (+ english later) — giving her a bit more time at home feels right so she’s not overwhelmed 3. every child has their own pace. we’re following hers. 4. little ones tend to get sick a lot when they first start daycare — and right now it doesn’t feel like the right time for that 5. my husband works full days and we don’t have family help in the evenings — so even with daycare, hospital shifts wouldn’t really work yet 6. i work from home and genuinely love this time together. it goes by so fast. 7. we’ve found a rhythm that works — she’s home, i get things done, and we’re both happy with it
