More details in description 👇🏼 This is a very fast way to paint your EVA foam pieces with a flexible primer and paint 2 in 1 to avoid the paint from coming off 👀🔥✨ You only have to mix CLEAR FLEXIPAINT and the acrylic paints of your choice in a 1:1 ratio. ✨ Make sure to heat-seal your foam pieces before painting them! Use floral wire to shape EVA foam! One of my favorite methods to provide flexibility and shape to armor is embedding floral wire into the edges! Use whatever gauge of floral wire you want to use that is strong enough to hold a shape. I also sanded the floral wire a little bit to help the superglue attach it to the foam. 🌟tip for the best results🌟 Apply the floral wire to the edges while the foam is curved. The most popular and helpful metereal to use for making the smallest to biggest props for cosplay. It's lightweight, inexpensive, and easy to work with. It's also flexible, durable, and comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. EVA foam can be cut, carved, and heat-shaped into many different forms, and with the right tools and patience, it can be made to look like almost any material. (Yes, I got that from Google, lol) BUT HERE MY TAKE ON EXTRA HELP TO WORK WITH IT! 1. KNOW WHAT SIZE YOU WANT! EVA foam comes in different sizes. There's 1mm, 2mm 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, and 10mm. At least on Amazon. Different sizes are used for layering and how you want the prop to look. Like thinner foam can be used for detail work while ticker foam can be used for weapons or Miku headphones (like in the video) 2. MOCK UP! Yes! You can use a mock-up pattern for EVA foam to. There's TONS of tutorials and already make patterns for you to use to make your eva projects! It's best to have a plan before you start cutting because eva foam can run our fast if you're not paying attention. 3. CUT AND CUT SAFETY!! PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN CUTTING EVA FOAM AND USE THE RIGHT TOOLS WHEN DOING SO!! Make sure to take your time when cutting cause it can happen so fast! Use a sharp box cutter or X-Acto knife at an angle to cut through the foam smoothly. If yiur struggling, change the blade because it's too dull. My preferred method of heat sealing eva foam. I know a lot of people heat seal at the end as part of the priming process, but that's never really worked for me so I'm sharing how I do it. Heat sealed foam is ready for finishing work like filling seams and priming. Having trouble bending your foam for big 3D letter standees? 🤔 Here’s a simple hack: roll something hard over it to compress the foam and make it easier to bend! I just used a bottle—and it works like magic ✨ Hope this helps, fellow crafters! Happy crafting! 💪🎨
