The Evenflo revolve360 car seat has been such a game changer for us! Since Lee doesn't walk, having a rotating car seat makes getting him in and out of the car so much easier on both of us. What really sets it apart, though, is that it accommodates up to 65 lbs in the harness which is huge for us! (120lbs for booster) Lee is the size of a typical 5 year-old but only weighs 35 los, so finding a seat that supports his size while still keeping him safely harnessed is not easy. Most car seats cap out way too soon, but the Evenflo revolve 360 gives us peace of mind knowing we have room to grow. You may have seen a certain, very scary Facebook post this week about the Evenflo Revolve. This isn’t the first time that we at Safe in the Seat have seen this happen: something goes wrong with a specific car seat, and a parent goes to social media to share, thinking that they are doing a service to other parents by warning them about a dangerous product. Fear is a very normal gut reaction when we see a malfunction in a car seat - that thing that’s supposed to save your child’s life in a crash. But, pause. And ensure that the loudest voices are those that are experts in the field. Let’s dive a little deeper for a second, and look at the whole situation with a critical eye. You’ll hear us say over and over again: any car seat on the market is safe when used correctly. That remains true for the Evenflo Revolve. Evenflo has shared that they are in contact with the family who created the viral post, and if we hear anything else directly from them, we will pass on the info to you. In the meantime, we aren’t going to speculate on the specifics of that situation. If you use this car seat for your child, don’t panic! There is no recall, and we don’t expect one. Here are a few reminders about installing and using it safely (yes, there are more).
