***UPDATED! This video shares every theatrical release and reissue poster for Disney Animation in order of release and reissue. Sound on! I thought it would be interesting to see the full scale of what audiences saw in what order and to see the charging marketing styles. I was surprised by how often Disney reused posters! A few notes . . . Reissue years were pulled from the Official Disney Encyclopedia and the D23 site, and for the actual release dates, I had to rely on a variety of Internet sites. For the 1959 DUMBO reissue, I had to use an advertisement since I could find no one sheet. Also, I included what I could find for MUSIC LAND, which was a feature comprised of reissued segments from MAKE MINE MUSIC and MELODY TIME. I also included the reissue poster for THE BLACK CAULDRON, which was created for a limited reissue in test markets with a new title. As always, I didn't include DINOSAUR since it was largely made by The Secret Lab, a special effects house Disney acquired. Please feel free to share, save, and enjoy!
