I'm excited to be partnering with @storyofourschools this month to showcase 4 of their amazing exhibits starting with the one at Bruce Monroe Elementary School at Park View. This bilingual exhibit incorporates research completed by a group of 4th grade BMPV students. The Story of Our Schools' mission is to create permanent history-based exhibits in schools that engage and instill a sense of pride in students, community, and prospective families while teaching students about exhibit creation, research, and local history. Participating students work with local professionals in the museum, history, library, or archives fields and gain hands-on experience with archival materials, oral history interviewing, and more.
