Big updates to Express Entry 2026 🇨🇦 As announced in House of Commons and reported by CPAC (February 18, 2026 – Ottawa), Canada is taking steps to return immigration to more sustainable levels while continuing to attract top global talent. The Honourable Lena Metlege Diab, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, introduced the 2026 Express Entry category updates under the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) system. Here’s what’s changing 👇 🔹 NEW category for foreign medical doctors with Canadian work experience 🔹 NEW category for researchers & senior managers with Canadian work experience 🔹 NEW category for transport occupations (pilots, aircraft mechanics, inspectors) 🔹 NEW category for highly skilled foreign military applicants recruited into key roles (military doctors, nurses, pilots) ✅ Canada will ALSO continue targeted draws for: • Candidates with strong French language skills • Health care & social services professionals (nurse practitioners, dentists, pharmacists, psychologists, chiropractors) • Skilled trades (carpenters, plumbers, machinists) This signals a clear shift toward targeted, sector-based immigration focused on filling critical labour shortages while maintaining economic balance. 📌 We will post further detailed breakdowns in our upcoming posts If you want to understand how these 2026 categories impact your profile, contact Yoke Immigration for personalized guidance. ⚠️ Disclaimer: Information sourced from CPAC coverage of proceedings in the House of Commons (February 18, 2026). Canada just made important changes to Express Entry PR 🇨🇦 If you’re working in Canada or planning PR, this is for you. You now need at least 1 year of skilled work experience to qualify for most Express Entry draws. Canada is prioritizing these occupations 👇 🏥 Healthcare – nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists 💻 Tech / STEM – software engineers, IT professionals, developers 👷 Trades – electricians, carpenters, plumbers 👩🏫 Education – early childhood educators, teachers, teacher assistants 🚛 Transport – truck drivers 🌾 Agriculture & food – butchers, farm supervisors Your occupation can increase your chances of getting PR, even if your CRS score isn’t extremely high. Want the official list of all eligible occupations and categories? Comment “PR” and I’ll DM you the official IRCC link. Express Entry 2026 categories are officially announced 🇨🇦 New targeted occupations added. French, healthcare & trades continue. This isn’t just about CRS anymore, it’s about category positioning. Are you in one of these fields? 👀

🇨🇦 IRCC’s new 2026 to 2027 departmental plan signals a possible return of job offer points in Express Entry. The points may apply to high wage occupations, though IRCC has not yet confirmed which jobs will qualify or how the system will work. IRCC says details on the framework and timeline will come later. 🔗More in the link: t.ly/fJcy5 Are you looking forward for job offer points return? #jobofferpoints #employerjoboffer

🚨 BREAKING: NO MORE FSW. NO MORE CEC. NO MORE FST. IRCC just quietly dropped this on their Forward Regulatory Plan. They’re proposing to SCRAP all 3 federal Express Entry classes and replace them with ONE new “streamlined” high-skilled immigration class. What’s being eliminated: → Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) → Canadian Experience Class (CEC) → Federal Skilled Trades (FST) What’s replacing them: → A single new federal high-skilled class (details TBD) Why? IRCC says the current system is too complicated. They want something “easier for clients, employers and partners to understand.” When? → Public consultations: Spring 2026 → No implementation date yet → Current rules STILL APPLY for now What should you do RIGHT NOW? If you’re eligible under FSW, CEC, or FST today — don’t wait. Nobody knows what the new requirements will look like. The system you know could be gone by next year. This is the biggest proposed change to Express Entry since it launched in 2015. We’ll be watching this VERY closely. Save this. Share this. Send to anyone planning to apply. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/mandate/acts-regulations/forward-regulatory-plan/list/modernize-federal-high-skilled.html #canadaimmigration #expressentry #immigrationconsultant #rcic #canadapr
