Only if cake was a computer program 😒 While there are many YouTube videos that teach you how to reuse a sunken cake(into cake pops or cakesicles), truth is there is no way to bring a sunken cake back to shape. No it’s not Phoenix 🦅 You have to take some time to sink in and think through what went wrong and redo the cake again 🧘‍♀️ 1. Get a right recipe, tried and tested ✅ 2. There is nothing like getting your basics right 💯 I tried thrice to fail this cake, The first time, I added some excess soda and it still won’t fail, then added 1tsp soda and it still didn’t fail. I posted this in my story 6 hours ago and I have over 25,000 views and over 2000 DMs 🥴 So I might as well post it here and discuss the issue. Most of you guessed baking powder and baking soda. 2nd guess is eggs. 3rd guess is oil. Only 27 people actually guessed it right - the missing ingredient is sugar 😭 Yes I FORGOT TO ADD SUGAR TO A CAKE!! The cake might have gone to waste, but I couldn’t let all this gorgeous footage go to waste too.. 🙈🎂 I was particularly annoyed at myself because I’ve made this exact mistake before with THE SAME PACKET so the disappointment was amplified. On the bright side, I’m still in time for my birthday, so today was essentially a practice round. 🫠 (And before anyone tells me that it’s literally written right there on the packet, I KNOW leave me alone 😅😭) Massive fail aside, I always have such a lovely time baking with this sweet boy. Story time: Made this cake during my Chocolate Truffle Cake class while teaching my students the stencil technique 🤎 I really wanted to show them how to achieve that perfect stencil finish… but with truffle it failed twice 🥲 As seen in the video, I had to try 3 times. Finally, on the third attempt with whipped cream, I got the perfect look 😍✨ I absolutely loved the final result and was so happy! The best part?
