What happened yesterday in the United States, during Trump’s dinner, where apparently a shooter entered but no one was injured, is something that immediately becomes a media event. And this allows us to draw several parallels with the previous attack on Donald Trump during the elections, the azzass1nation of Charlie Kirk, and these large-scale events that become highly mediatic in the United States. They attract the spotlight of the entire country,and the world, because the United States represents the center of the imperial system. And this process becomes even more intense with the Trump government, which is a very Weberian figure in the sense of political theater. Many of his actions follow this logic ,a logic of staging, of performance, of amplifying events or even directing them in certain ways. Whether this latest attack was a false flag or not is not even the main point, the truth is that the use of events like this, in American politics and in the economy, is never random. It may have been used to create a certain level of instability, but even if it was not intentional, it will always be used in favor of a certain political agenda. It contributes to the creation of myths, especially around Trump and his political circle,the idea that they are being persecuted, that they are under attack, which reinforces and feedbacks this same logic. And once something like this happens, the tendency is for it to multiply through media logic.It’s as if, by pointing the cameras at an event like this, you expand it, you reproduce it, and you turn it into something politically useful. And this connects directly to the current stage of American politics specially with the decline of American hegemony, this process intensifies. And this is something that will likely only get worse in the coming years. Because the political stage itself becomes part of political power and that power is often converted from economic power within capitalism. Which means: who pays for the cameras,media infrastructure, and who decides where those cameras are pointed at.
