Here's what the algorithm actually rewards 👇 Most creators hit publish and disappear. Meanwhile, Instagram is deciding in the first 30 minutes whether your reel is worth showing to anyone else. I've been using @artec.app to streamline my workflow so I can spend less time editing and more time doing what actually moves the needle after I post. Here's the 6-step checklist I follow every single time: 1️⃣ Like your own post immediately — That first signal tells the algorithm your content is active. 2️⃣ Pin a keyword-rich comment (Minute 1-2) — Ask a question or drop a keyword you want to rank for. This guides the conversation. 3️⃣ Engage on 10-15 niche accounts (Minutes 2-30) — Comments, Story replies, likes. The algorithm watches what you do after posting. Go dark and it assumes you don't care. 4️⃣ Share to Stories strategically (Minutes 10-15) — Don't share immediately. Wait 10-15 min, then share a comment or the reel with a hook. 5️⃣ Reply to every comment (First 15 min) — 2 comments become 4. 4 become 8. The algorithm reads this as active conversation. 6️⃣ Spend time in your DMs (Minutes 15-30) — Reply to DMs, respond to Story replies. DM activity signals you're a real, active human. Total time: 30 minutes. That's it. The creators who grow aren't posting more. They're showing up after they post. I broke this down into a free checklist, DM 'list' and I'll send it to you. #artec #reelsstrategy #instagramtips #contentcreatortips #socialmediagrowth

You don’t hate the algorithm. You just haven’t trained it.

You don’t hate the algorithm. You just haven’t trained it. 🎛️ Instagram now lets users control what they see in their Reels feed. Which means your audience is actively telling the platform what they want more of… and what they don’t. If your content is clear, specific and actually aligned with your voice? It gets stronger signals. If it’s vague or trend-chasing? It fades. In this Reel, I’m showing you exactly where to find the “Your Algorithm” settings and how to use them. Because visibility isn’t about performing harder. It’s about shaping smarter. Want to stay ahead of changes like this (without doom scrolling updates)? My Story Lounge members see it all first. Comment LOUNGE and I’ll send you the details. 💚

Let me show you how to train the Instagram algorithm to stop hiding your posts from your perfect-fit clients ⬇️… In order to properly train the algorithm, you need to know how the algorithm works first. The algorithm has ONE job: Keep users on the Instagram app as long as possible. Why? Because the longer someone stays on the app, the more ads they see, the more money the platform makes. This means the algorithm is constantly working to try and put content in front of the people who would appreciate that content the most. And this is where your opportunity to train the algorithm exists. The best way to get the algorithm to show your content to more of the right people (as in, the people you are creating content for)... Is to be crystal-clear in your messaging about who your content is for. If your messaging is broad, vague, or trying to talk to “everyone”, Instagram doesn’t know who to push your content to. It gets confused. So the algorithm “holds” on to your content while it desperately tries to figure out who would most appreciate it. This is why you need to be crystal-clear and TELL it exactly who it’s for. The BEST way to do that is to be clear on: ✅ WHO you are talking to (who is your perfect-fit client?) ✅ USE the same language that person uses when they talk about their pains, problems, and desires ✅ BONUS: tell them what action to take so they engage with your content What this does is sends a signal to the algorithm telling it “hey, show this to people who have similar interests to this.” Then the algorithm does that. Then, when those people engage, they’re sending a signal right back to the algorithm confirming that people like them are the ones who appreciate your content the most. And that’s how you train the algorithm to start distributing your content to more of the right people (your perfect-fit clients). Let me know below 👇 if you thought this was super helpful. As of last month, Instagram has introduced a major update called “Your Algorithm” for the Reels tab, allowing users to control and update their preferences manually. By tapping the new icon (two lines with hearts) in the top right corner of the Reels feed, you can view AI-generated interest topics, add new interests, or select topics to see less of.

Okay so... deep breath ...I need to tell you something and you're probably not gonna love it at first but stay with me because this is actually GOOD news. The algorithm? Not your enemy. I know, I KNOW. Trust me, I've been there. I've sat on my couch eating chips at 2am wondering why the Instagram gods were personally punishing me for existing. But the algorithm is like that friend who just tells people what they wanna hear. That's it. That's literally all it does. It's not sitting there going "Ooh, Susan posted again? Bury it." It's just... showing people what they're already engaging with. So when your post flops? It's not because you're cursed or because Mercury is in retrograde or whatever. It's because (and I say this with SO much love) what you posted didn't make anyone stop scrolling. And listen, I GET IT. You worked hard on that post. You picked the perfect photo. You wrote a caption. You used hashtags. You did the THINGS. Post it again. You've got this. I promise.

This type of content is generally manufactured hype 🫠 Some of it is solid advice. But most of it is pretty standard, just packaged up in a way that makes you feel like you’re behind or missing out. So what’s the true algorithm? It’s more about consumption habits than hacks. Look out for micro trends ➡️ minor shifts week to week in what’s trending or popping off Vs macro shifts ➡️ major changes in how people prefer to consume content. Like how trending audios were huge 2 years ago and now people crave more serialized content. Observe these to see where you land but remember good content ALWAYS wins out. You’re better off focusing on finding your unique perspective and edit style than trying to mimic the hacks and gimmicks these videos talk about. Got a q for me you want answered? Instagram algorithm update 2026: if your reach or growth has felt different this week, it’s not your content — the system changed. Instagram has quietly updated how it reads, tests, and distributes posts. Which means a few important things right now: ➡️Content is being tested with existing followers first ➡️Topic clarity matters more than ever ➡️Keyword signals now outweigh hashtags •➡️Consistency of message beats posting volume This isn’t about posting more. And it’s not about being “punished.” It’s about how clearly the system understands who your content is for — and whether people choose to keep seeing it. Over the next few days, I’ll break down what this shift means and how to adapt without burning yourself out or guessing. Save this if you’ve been quietly wondering what you’re doing wrong — and needed the reassurance that it’s not you.

If your posts only reach your followers, it’s not random. It means the algorithm isn’t getting the signals it needs yet. That’s why your reach feels stuck. This is exactly what The Algorithm Advantage teaches. How to create content that the algorithm actually pushes to new people. We are coming to an end of the $79 sale. It ends tomorrow at midnight. If you’ve been sitting on this and thinking about it… this is your moment. Comment INFO and I’ll send it to you.

This account is currently 19 days old & while 179 followers seems like great progress, I’m not about to light a candle and celebrate. Instead, I’m going to admit what most people won’t… Most of these new followers are NOT my target audience. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’ve had a lot of spam accounts following me. A lot of foreign men (some of who are shooting their shot in the DMs, sorry boys, I’m taken 🤪). And a FEW women who are absolutely my people. This is something I remember with my original account too. Out of curiosity, I asked ChatGPT about this & here’s what it said: Instagram is still “testing” your content When an account is brand new, the algorithm doesn’t fully know: • Who you are • Who you’re for • Who should see you So it pushes your content to random pockets of people globally to gather data. A lot of those pockets include high-volume engagement accounts (often users who mass-follow/comment). It’s not personal. It’s math.” This is exactly what I figured was happening, so… I’m going to continue posting niche specific content. Continue to show up regularly. And continue to give the algorithm what it needs to hone in on my target audience. If you’re someone who’s currently creating & selling digital products… Or someone who’s interested in selling digital products on Instagram… Hit that follow button. I’m currently testing a theory that I think is going to change the way people create & sell digital products & I’m taking you on the journey. #instagramgrowth

LISTEN. AI, when prompted well (and is a skill) will deliver results. This isn’t that. 🤪 You can change your algorithm interests, remove the, and add types of content you do NOT want to see anymore- in this video I will be removing AI generated slop 💅 No more bizarre videos of a pack of coyotes cuddling with an infant child while the mom films and says “awww”. wtf? Here’s how I am removing AI slop from my algorithm (hopefully!) 1. Go to the Reels tab at the bottom of your screen 2. Top right is a sliding scale of hearts- click it 💕 3. Review your suggestions and change as needed or add 4. Add any types of content you do not want to see Hope this helps!
