Wow wow wow, what a sound, what a guitar!! The mother of all electric guitars, I'm playing a real, fully original Fender Broadcaster. The predecessor of the Tele (the GOAT). A magical experience. They only built these in '50 and '51, and there's only a few out there in a condition like this. Almost 75 years old, and the design is still pretty much unchanged. Says a lot about how Leo got it right on the first try 👏 . Thanks to @guitarpoint for showing me around the beautiful showroom 🙏

I flew into Denver, Colorado this morning to buy this clean 1950 Fender Broadcaster from the family of its sole owner since the late 1950s! It’s 100% original and very nicely preserved. The first Telecaster shaped guitars by Fender were called the Esquire but they didn’t have truss rods. By October of 1950, the Broadcaster began production with truss rods and the new name. It was made this way until February 1951 when a letter from Gretsch regarding the name already in use (“Broadkaster”) for their drum line. Fender began clipping the Broacaster name from the logos the next day. This Broadcaster, serial number 0646, is among the best preserved of the model still in existence. It’s very clean and completely unmodified. All finish, solder, and parts are original to this guitar.
