I feed my Ficus lyrata monthly in summer and spring and less in autumn and winter. Dusty leaves can hinder photosynthesis and slow growth, plus they look dull. It is time. ✂️ Only had a few moments of “Oh snap, did I just make a major mistake?!”, but this guy has been such a super grower and it handled the LAST big chop 2 years ago amazingly well (obviously), so I’m feeling confident we will be okay this go-round too. *pleasepleaseplease* Also trying out water vs. soil propagation for the cuttings, so we shall see what works best. I wanted some chaos in my life so I bought a fiddle leaf fig 🤭 My last attempt a fiddle was in 2022 and I swore them off forever until now. I found what helps tremendously when growing plants is seeing how they grow in nature and try to mimic those conditions as best as I can indoors. I’ll definitely update along the way on how she’s growing and let’s hope in 6 months, I have something great to report back on.
