FRAGRÂNCIA NATURAL 🌼 A pecuarista e costureira Geralda Ilezi Carvalho conta que sua relação com a ora-pro-nóbis (Pereskia aculeata), da família Cactaceae, começou de forma totalmente despretensiosa: ela ganhou uma muda para plantar no quintal de sua casa, em Campinas (SP). O que mais a marcou foi a primeira florada e o aroma fresco que se espalhou pelo ambiente. “Eu saí da cozinha sentindo aquele perfume no jardim. Fui seguindo o cheiro e não acreditava que pudesse ser algo tão maravilhoso! Fiquei emocionada… ela é linda, exuberante e, ao mesmo tempo, efêmera”, relata. Segundo a agropecuarista, a florada costuma ocorrer entre fevereiro e março. As flores se abrem assim que o dia clareia e, por volta das 9h ou 10h da manhã, já começam a se fechar. Em alguns casos, podem voltar a abrir no mesmo dia, especialmente quando o tempo está seco; em períodos chuvosos, geralmente não se abrem novamente. “Quando está fechada, parece um ramalhete de botões de rosa”, descreve. A polinização é realizada principalmente por abelhas, vespas e borboletas. Após a floração, surgem os frutos, que são arredondados e amarelados, enquanto as flores são pequenas e delicadas, em tons de branco e amarelo. Geralda também conta que já preparou geleia com a planta, cujo sabor lembra pêssego, além de um molho suave para peixe feito com os frutos, reforçando o charme dessa espécie tão singular, cultivada no próprio quintal. This might be the best thing I’ve ever done with an Easter egg 🍫☕️🤎 the difference is FLORA cream makes it dairy-free so everyone can enjoy it! Filling: 7g custard powder 125ml milk of choice (almond, oat etc) 100g df cream cheese, room temp 1 tsp vanilla extract 250ml @flora_aus_nz plant cream 1/3 cup icing sugar To assemble: Coffee Lady finger biscuits, broken into small pieces Cocoa powder, for dusting Hollow df Easter eggs 1. Prepare the custard per packet instructions (or approx 125g premade custard). Set aside to cool completely. 2. Whisk or beat the custard with cream cheese and vanilla until smooth. Add FLORA cream and sugar, beat again until thick. 3. Unwrap the Easter egg and gently press a knife through the seam to slice it in half (pour boiling water over your knife to prevent the chocolate from cracking). 4. Quickly dip the biscuits into the coffee then place in the base of the Easter egg. Top with the cream filling. Optional to repeat with extra layer of biscuits and filling (depends how big the eggs are). 5. Refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours to set.
