I love a challenge and this was definitely one of them … although surprisingly easy after I found my flow. Thanks to @painted_spaces_uk for drawing the outline, kept me in check! 🥰 Installed for the most prettiest store in town @promsandbeyond … opening Monday! Worth a visit and the dresses are incredible! We installed a few floral pieces and bespoke fittings within the store, but for now I’m going to OBSESS over this gorgeous creation! Designing into water using smart structures like the @accentdecorinc “Conservatory Collection” stands solves hydration issues and results in reliable, sturdy, and impactful installations. But there’s more to say! Because so many of us were trained using foam or learned to design water-free into chicken wire, there are a set of considerations that I feel need to be shared for people to get the most out of these structures. I wrote a blog post on it, linked in my profile! In it, I outline practical set and strike tips as well as outlining: -why and how to fortify the vase attachments -what materials perform best -how to “color outside the lines,”extending the form of the stands -best practices for choosing flower forms and layering them successfully -altering/adding to the stands to make them your own. Hanging installations are so labor-intensive. So it’s so important that you plan in collaborate with all vendors that are involved in this particular install to ensure the success and execution. You also should remember to ensure proper height and overall clients per perspective for any type of major installation. There was a total of 450 roses pre strung and a total of 600 feet of cable purchased to create which were cut into 28 singular segment to create a cross grid. You also noticed that we didn’t place any roses where the cables crossed because you would get more square footage if you put them on the perimeter of each square not the corners !
