Carnivorous plants can be tricky! Here’s how I feed my #venusflytrap : -make a slurry of protein-rich, insect-based fish food & a drop or two of water (I use fluval bug bites flakes & Hikari FD daphnia) -mix fish food & water until mixture gains a watery-paste-like consistency -suction up a tiny drop of the slurry in a dropper -feed your VFT by depositing the tiny drop of food mixture into a trap TIPS: -do not over feed (feed a small amount to only 2-3 traps at a time) -never fertilize VFT/carnivorous plants with traditional plant fertilizer -feed only 1-2x per month in the spring/summer, less in fall (late fall to winter the VFT should be allowed to go dormant) -never trigger a VFT to close a trap without food inside, the plant cannot afford to waste that energy -*never touch or take a VFT from the wild! (only grow in the Carolinas)!
