I HATE to admit this, but I almost didn’t make this video because I * gasp* didn’t have a fresh retwist. ( which is rare for me). I found myself always waiting to create and only filming when my roots was slicked, tamed and perfectly geled down for that “super neat” look. Sometimes as black women, we can feel like our hair is constantly under a microscope being judged( especially on social media). But I had to check myself. I had to remind myself that black hair does not need to look “ neat“ and “ presentable” to be beautiful and accepted. Yes, my hair hasn’t been retwisted in almost a month. Yes, my grey hair is sprouting out and showing out! lol But I’m at a point in my life where such imperfections is ok! Especially when it comes to my locs. Real beauty lies in our AUTHENTICITY, in celebrating every twist and turn of our loc journey. So here’s to embracing the puffy roots, course textures and locs that have a mind of their own and won’t obey. This brow might be laminated but it's also been styled and geled to look like that. A proper brow Lamination will smooth out your brows and help hide any sparse areas. 2. Your brows may look more intense until you wash it off, especially if we use any tint or stain but don't freak out, this is temporary and your brows will relax and settle after your first wash. The product needs time to sit on your brows in order to make your lamination last and your tint to remain saturated and pigmented. 3. Don't get them wet! This can completely reverse your lamination process which is a waste of your money, you need to keep the brows dry and makeup free in order to let the product set properly and get the result you want.
