Ending our genius weft using our pocket method ✨ Very simple, sew to the end then tie it off 😅 Ok but honestly it really is that easy. Nothing too crazy Now depending on how you stack, your preference and your clients hair, you may or may not want to do a double knot on the edge Why would you want to do that extra stitch: your weft is too flappy and your trying to tack it down Why would you not? Because it can be aggressive cinching the edge down around only a few hairs. It’s very important for that last stitch on a folded genius weft to be tight. If it’s not the wefts will resist, the wefts will bubble open a little and push that stitch backwards. When that happens it’s more flappy. But it’s also going to be flappy if you sew into too little hair, pull your clients hair out of their head and now that stitch has nothing to hold onto so it might as well not be there PS If the “natural shed” on your clients corner looks like a firework *whispers* you ripped their hair out of their head. That’s not natural. There’s a reason the corners just happen to have a LOT of “natural shed” So again this is a decision call. As an extension specialist I have found the biggest complaint from clients and stylists is the corners/edges of your wefts! Here’s a couple tricks⬇️ 1. Hide at least 3 beads on the corners: will make edge less bulky and add stability 2. Stagger the middle layer so it’s not directly seam on seam: will make the stacking feel seamless 3. Use a small small clip vertically: will secure middle weft and help u remember where it ends! Drop a comment if these helped at all!!
