My current creature crush: the American Eel. These amazing fish are fish are found from Canada down to FL, where they spend most of their lives in brackish or freshwater. The craziest thing about them is that reproduction only takes place east of the Bahamas in the Sargasso Sea. The babies will then drift as far as 6000km (3700mi) before making it back inshore.
