Glenwood Springs in Colorado was one of our favorite trips this summer and it is only 5.5 hours from SLC! 🙌 We visited @glenwoodhotsprings where we spent the day swimming in the world’s largest hot spring pool! Next to the pool they have Sopris splash zone which has zero entry pools with small water slides, a splash pad and Shoshone Chutes-a fun river ride! We spent a whole day here and would definitely recommend visiting! We visited @glenwoodcaverns adventure park! You’ll ride a gondola to the top of this mountainside theme park and ride thrill rides over the canyon!😱 We loved the rides, the cave tours and the giant sandbox for the littles! If you’re looking for an easy hike with kids check out the Doc Holliday hike or if you’re up for a challenge don’t miss the hanging lake hike to some beautiful waterfalls! Trail permits and reservations are required for the hanging lake hike and can be purchased online. Spend the perfect weekend in Glenwood Springs with @bestwestern #sponsored We had the best time exploring Glenwood Springs and our stay with Best Western Antlers made it even better! The location was perfect, we were minutes away from the hotsprings and we were able to walk to the downtown area! Our favorite part of our stay though was all the amenities. We loved having pickleball courts, horseshoes, and a volleyball court available to use. The pool area and hot tub was the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring and after dinner we were able to come back to the hotel to sit at the fire pits around the property. Glenwood Springs is famously known for their hot springs, but after some white-water adventure 🛶 we took a stroll into town and found some incredible gems! 🍔 LUNCH AT @grind.co This place grinds meat in-house to guarantee the freshly burger you’ll ever have. We ordered the 7 SXSW burger that had buffalo, lettuce, pico, jalapenos, avocado mash chipotle mayo, pepperjack and the WILL CODY that had buffalo, fried jalapenos bacon, KC bbq. Would definitely visit again! 🍨 DESSERT at @sundae.artisan.icecream After speaking to some locals, we were suggested to try out Sundae. Imagine being in the heart of a small town in the mountains, having some of the best ice cream you’ve ever tried, in 70 degree weather. Winter weekend itinerary for Glenwood Springs, Colorado: 1. Rifle Falls State Park- we did the Coyote trail around and behind the falls. 2. Ice caves- This is the Kopers Trail in Rifle Mountain Park near Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Spikes on your shoes are necessary for this hike! 3. Glenwood Hot Spring Pool- This is a natural hot spring with lots of minerals. It costs $32 for a day pass, but they do allow re-entry. 4. Get ramen from Kedai Pho and Japanese Cuisine 5. Vegan chocolate truffles from the Chocolate Moose. I also wanted to visit the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park and hike to Hanging Lake, but we didn’t have time.

𝐓𝐨𝐩 𝟓 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐓𝐨 𝐃𝐨 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐨 𝐒𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 👀 We spent 11 days in Colorado Springs and had a blast exploring the area, so we’ve rounded up the best things from our itinerary to help you plan your visit! ⤵️ 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐃𝐨’𝐬: 🥾 Hike the Manitou Incline - 2,768 stairs climbing 2,000 feet in elevation. Reservation required, but free! 🫖 Visit the Glen Eyrie Castle for high tea! $38pp includes soup, salad, sandwiches, canapés and sweets. 🏔️ Summit Pikes Peak - You can drive to the top of this 14er or purchase tickets for the scenic cog railway train. Make sure you try the famous donuts in the Visitors Center! 🥾 Hike at Garden of the Gods Park - It’s free to enter! The Siamese Twins trail was our favorite, you can see Pikes Peak through the rocks. 🥾 Hike Seven Falls - $22 per adult & you have to park and ride the free shuttle to the entrance. Don’t skip the view from the Eagle’s Nest! Spring Destination :📍Glenwood Springs CO Why we loved the city? They have amazing food, day trip from Denver CO and lot of fun activities open all around the year. What did we do? We started off our day with a wholesome breakfast at Village Inn Pancake house (fluffiest pancakes ever!!). We then headed to Glenwood Caverns Gondola which takes us to Glenwood Caverns Adventure park on the top of Iron mountain. There are so many fun activities in the adventure park for all ages. We booked tour to both Kings Cavern and Fairy Caverns. Absolutely awesome I must say! We enjoyed 360 panoramic views from iron mountain, walked around the adventure park and shopped some souvenirs from the gift shop. Coming up is the next half of the day in Glenwood Springs.
