I remember when they diagnosed Arthur with GDD and I was shocked. That never crossed my mind. I was just thinking autism. Then that diagnosis turned into a learning disability diagnosis and it hit hard. Having a learning disability doesn’t mean Arthur will never develop and learn. Not all autistic people have global development delay. This is something that I never doubted Harriet having. Harriet was always scoring extremely high on development Q&As Last one being Harriet 2 year review cut off 65 and Harriet scoring 240. It’s sad to see your child struggle to simple things in life and definitely scary thought about the future. Harriet is currently working around a child that is 6-9 month old. I really wouldn’t change her for world but can be sad seeing even. Meet 14-year-old Kimran who has been diagnosed with Global Development Delay syndrome. Kimran has undergone 3 sessions of our brainsync therapy coupled with organ realignment therapy. This has helped to balance different internal structures of her brain, her overall cranial system as well as release trapped emotions and enhance the gut to brain connection. With the result that Kimran is now more responsive and less reserved by allowing us to take pictures with her as well as record this video, something she would never allow before. She is a truly remarkable young lady who has already shown so much resolve and enthusiasm, she is a credit to her dedicated parents as shown by their absolute love and care for her. Indeed, her healing is linked to her mother’s own emotional healing journey with us. The improvement Kimran has shown in just three sessions is remarkable and a testament to her desire to heal. As noted by her parents her improvements include: ✅ Being more vocal ✅ Having fewer seizures (from a couple a week to one every 2 to 3 weeks) ✅ Less dribbling ✅ Increased movement in her knees ✅ She is eating more ✅ Has more concentration ✅ She listens more and follows instructions more readily ✅ She is more alert and calmer We will continue to support Kimran and mum on their healing journey. I’m continuously amazed at how the body heals itself and I feel truly blessed to have met Kimran and her parents who have all allowed me to be a part of her healing journey I learn something new from Kimran each time I see her. For Leyla, travelling in a car had become extremely dangerous, escaping her car seat, half way down the motorway which is truly frightening. I needed to find a seat which Leyla couldn’t escape. We looked at the voyager, the stingray swing out & the carrot 3 car seat. I felt with the voyager, Leyla would still be able to escape, and in the end we went for the Carot 3 car seat. These specialist car seats come at a huge price, we were lucky enough to apply to a charity called @newlifethecharity who funded the whole seat for Leyla, and I’m so thankful. If it wasn’t for them Leyla would still be unsafe in the car. But what do you need to apply for a specialist car seat! 🩷 A quote for your chosen car seat. 🩷 A car seat assessment. 🩷 A supporting letter from an OT. With @schuchmann_uk for the Carot 3 car seat they came to our house to complete the assessment. When we applied to Newlife Charity, our application was approved and funded within 2 weeks. There was a further wait for the seat itself as it’s made in Germany. But from applying to receiving Leylas specialist car seat it took around 6 weeks for us. I’m forever thankful to @newlifethecharity for making it possible to travel safely in the car with Leyla, and giving us all our independence back. Now we can travel anywhere and not have to worry. Our Elsie. Our light and joy. For those new here, here’s a little bit about our third daughter Elsie Mae. She is 3.5 years old now and was diagnosed with Global Development Delay about a year ago. We have had her tested for genetic abnormalities which came back with a deletion in one chromosome and duplication in another. Unfortunately there are no records with those exact abnormalities so we aren’t too sure how delayed Elsie will stay or what her future holds. Though with therapy, she is showing she can progress and learn and is doing amazing and gives us hope. Some days I feel worried about her future with GDD (and what it can sometimes bring up down the track-gosh there’s alot out there) and other days I am blown away by what she has learnt and how far she has come and think maybe she won’t be so delayed one day…It’s honestly a bit of a roller coaster sometimes, but one thing that we do know- is her beautiful and amazing heart. The light that she shines into every room she walks into. Her personality is out of this world adorable and she has our whole support and our hearts (and usually everyone else’s she meets). So regardless of how big or small her disabilities may be in the future, we know she is so extremely happy and loves life. And that’s something we can all learn from ☀️ * I was bouncing between posting details about Elsie outside of my stories, as sometimes it’s hard to speak out. I also don’t want to ‘speak over’ Elsie’s life, but these are also facts and we are usually 80% on the positive side, always speaking words of life (positive words). I also am hesitant because I know so many families with children with special needs who require far more support than Elsie does. But sharing here, I have had many reach out who have similar situations and have helped me, and also I have been able to help others by sharing Elsie’s story too 🤍

Baby 10 months datang jumpa ticer for assessment untuk check milestones. overall Tor 10 months ok je alhamdulillah still on track cuma ticer ada advice few home activities untuk bantu di rumah. apa yang penting utk 10 months? ✅ babbling ✅ faham arahan mudah ✅ kenal nama sendiri ✅ respond pada bunyi ✅ suka tiru bunyi/aksi ✅ tepuk tangan/shake toys ✅ boleh kutip barang guna pincer grip ✅ duduk sendiri tanpa support ✅ merangkak ✅ pull to stand & cruising bila kena risau & buat terapi? 🚩tak ada babbling langsung 🚩tak respond bila panggil nama 🚩tak respond dekat bunyi 🚩tak pandai duduk sendiri 🚩tak minat explore sekeliling 🚩tak pandai main normal ie kadang-kadang kita rasa anak nanti akan catch up sendiri, atau mungkin kita nak tunggu dulu. semua parents akan rasa risau dan denial sikit. Tapi saya nak share satu bitter truth — bila kita nampak red flag, lagi awal anak dapat terapi, lagi cepat anak boleh catch up. Kalau kita tangguh, kita sebenarnya bukan beri masa untuk anak improve, tapi kita beri masa untuk anak makin jauh tertinggal. Therapy bukan nak ‘label’ anak, tapi nak bantu anak mencapai potensi terbaik. kan we aim for the stars? 🌟 So my advice, jangan tunggu sampai terlambat. Kita mulakan sikit-sikit dulu, therapy ni perjalanan... bukan untuk anak jeee, tapi untuk kita sama-sama belajar cara support dia.
