If your driver distance has stalled, this one position check could be worth 20 yards without changing anything else about your swing. At address, your left armpit should sit directly over the golf ball. Start your swing with success! ⬇️ Read Below ⬇️ Hands in, clubhead out 1. Grab 2 alignment sticks 2. One along your feet & one right behind your golf ball 3. In your backswing, trace the alignment stick with your clubhead 4. Pause when your hands reach your right thigh 5. The clubhead should be outside your hands and the face should be pointed towards the ground. 6. Pause there 7. If I were to start over as a beginner golfer, here are 3 drills I would do every single day to become a scratch golfer ⬇️ Read Below ⬇️ 1. First take a towel and put it under your arm pits The towel forces your arms to stay connected to your torso. This helps eliminate excessive arm movement, which can cause inconsistent contact and poor distance control. 2. Next drill Take a towel and place it on the ground about a clubbed behind your golf ball If you hit the towel before the ball it means your low point is behind the ball which is the most common reason for those Chunk or Fat shots. Learn how to control the low point and strike the ball first before the turf One of the keys for consistent contact 3. Final drill we are going to train our landing point Take a towel and place it on a spot where you want to land the ball for that specific shot Most amateur golfers focus only on the pin. But the best players in the world think landing spot first, then the roll out. By aiming at a towel, you’re shifting your mind to where to land it, not just where it finishes. I started using the Garmin R10 launch monitor to track my carry distances, and it’s been a complete game-changer. Instead of mindlessly going through a bucket, I now break down my practice into 4 shot types and hold myself accountable. For every swing, I write down whether the contact and execution were a ✅ or ❌. Why does this matter? Because it forces me to practice with intention. I can see patterns in my ball striking, notice which shots hold up under pressure, and identify exactly where I’m leaving strokes on the course. It’s no longer about guessing it’s about building repeatable consistency. Scratch golf (or whatever your personal goal is) isn’t about grinding for hours—it’s about making every rep count. Spent a couple days up at @onestoppowershop working on some technique and doing speed sessions. Not every practice session is going to be your best. I was frustrated with my speed but at the end of the day I haven’t been focusing on speed training lately so it’s time to switch gears. I feel good about some things I learned and I’ll be putting in some structured work over the next month and a half before my season starts! This was definitely the kick in the butt I needed! Shallow but on plane!! I mixed in some over rotation with the shoulders to counter my under plane swing with the bowed wrist that I’ve been working on, and im honestly happier with my swing than I’ve ever been! Now its time to golf #golfswing
