I love scribble-to-text but stopped using it after a GoodNotes update kept defaulting to “modern” font. Couldn’t figure out how to change it because the toolbar changed. Here’s the fix: ☁️ How to set a default font: 1. Use the text tool and write something 2. Tap the text → tap “Aa” in the toolbar to change font (I use my handwritten font) 3. Adjust size or color if needed 4. Tap the 3 dots on the right side of the text toolbar 5. Select “save as default” Now every time you use the text tool, your settings stay the same. 💻 How to turn handwriting into text: 1. Use the lasso tool to select your handwriting 2. Tap the 3 dots 3. Select “convert” → “text” 4. Tap the text to change the font if needed Let me know if this was helpful!!! 💗 Want more GoodNotes tips or other note-taking apps?

Most people think good note-taking is about capturing more information. More notes. More highlights. More pages saved. But that’s only step one. The real test comes later – when you actually need the idea. You remember writing it down. You remember it being useful. But now you’re scrolling through folders… searching through screenshots… opening notes that almost look familiar. And suddenly the idea that once felt valuable is buried under everything else. That’s when you realize something important: Writing notes doesn’t make knowledge useful. Being able to retrieve them does. Good notes aren’t just stored. They’re designed to be found. Your future self shouldn’t have to dig through a digital attic just to rediscover something important. The best note systems do one thing well: They make the right idea appear exactly when you need it. 💡 Takeaway: Notes aren’t valuable because you wrote them. They’re valuable because you can find them later. Sometimes the smartest productivity upgrade isn’t writing better notes… It’s making them easier to retrieve. If this idea resonates, it might be worth keeping somewhere your future self can find again.
