Hey, my name is Anu Sharma, and I’m currently a Software Engineer at Google! But here me out, the journey wasn’t easy 👇🏻 To get to Google, I had to: 1. Complete 3 Big Tech internships - Twitter, Intuit and yes, an internship at Google 2. Be thorough with my computer science fundamentals: which included, DSA, Operating Systems, DBMS and Computer Networks. Though, they are not asked in interviews, this was necessary to perform better in my internship. My intern manager actually told me “Your fundamentals are strong. So your analytical skills are sharp”. So don’t ignore it, just because they aren’t asked in the interviews 3. Build projects: I learned Full Stack in Java since Java was my primary coding language. This helped me in building good projects, which later built my resume which got shortlisted by Amazon, LinkedIN, Microsoft, Google, twitter, and even international companies from UK! 4. Coding contests: I won many coding contests on the national and international level which was a by product of practicing and learning data structures and algorithms You don’t necessarily have to do all of the above, but you need to make sure you’re doing 70% of the above. Your job is to put in the work, and all of the other factors like luck, opportunity will come to you when the time is right. Your job is just to do the WORK. If you’ve reached till here, follow @its.anu.sharma for more such content. I help you to crack big tech.
