Amazing video by @thecreativebix ✨ Tuesday Swirls ✨ Turning giant dots into fun gradients never gets old! Today I used my Sadie Brush (in a giant size!) and the Buried Treasure Palette to keep up the colorful autumn vibes! 🍂🍁 Then I blurred out all the circle blobs with Gaussian Blur, and made some swirls with the Liquify tool. I wanted to use the Chromatic Aberration tool as well, because I knew it would add a fun element! If you’re gradient-curious or nervous about painting gradients with acrylics like I was, this process video is for you! After watching multiple tutorials and lots of experimenting, I found an easier and effective way to paint gradients and wanted to pass it on 🥲 1. Make sure your brush is the right size, relative to your painting area. If your brush is too small the gradient ‘band’ will also be small won’t look great. 2. Make sure your brush is VERY wet but not dripping. 3. Choose your gradient colour and the same base colour of your painted area. Dip the half the brush in your gradient colour and the other half in the base colour. 4. Start painting your gradient with horizontal strokes, moving up and down the gradient area. You can go as high as you like but I usually stop 3/4 of the way. 5. Wait for the paint to dry and repeat the entire process a second time! Sometimes a third pass is needed but I usually love it after two passes. That’s it! You can also experiment by adding more colours to your brush. The possibilities are endless!
