I wouldn’t be happy being locked in there either but was for the best lol. Still no power but that’s the least of my concerns my heart goes out to everyone affected by these terrifying storms 💚❤️ #reptile #lizard #lizardsofinstagram #reptilelover #animals #caimanlizard

Kermit is simply the most stunning monitor lizard ever. I simply cannot get over this experience with him. You all know how I feel about green tree monitors, I’m not exactly subtle about it 😂 But to experience the feeding and partial handling of such an incredible specimen, a dream animal, and to do it surrounded by friends and likeminded people in our hobby is just superb It’s easy to forget why we do this! There’s times you end up just maintaining your animals because they’re in your house and you have a duty of care, but every now and again we need a reset to remember what we do and why, and for me, this was it 💜 - - - - - - - - - #varanus #prasinus #varanusprasinus #greentreemonitor #monitorlizard #varanids #epic #unreal #wow #reels #reptiles #exoticpets #grateful #treemonitor #treemonitors #greentreemonitors #treemonitorsuk #reptile #prasinuscomplex #animal #animals #viral #explore #varanids #varanuskeeper #treemonitorsofinstagram #greentreemonitorsofinstagram #monitorlizardsofinstagram #lizardsofinstagram #animalsofinstagram #reptilesofinstagram

This green anole is challenging us to a push-up contest! 🦎 Males like to demonstrate their strength and vigor to any other anole nearby by doing a set of push-ups, then repeatedly protruding their bright red throat skin flap called a dewlap. (only males have a prominent dewlap) This tiny green lizard is the only anole species native to the U.S. It may change colors to camouflage, regulate its body temperature and communicate with other anoles. Video by Allyson Gantt / @evergladesnps #lizards #anole #everglades Video Description: A green anole bobs its head up and down and repeatedly protrudes its bright red throat skin flap, while moving forward on a wooden railing. It is surrounded by vegetation.

🦎 The green tree monitor, or Varanus prasinus, is a striking lizard native to the rainforests of New Guinea and nearby islands, characterized by its vivid green coloration that provides excellent camouflage among foliage. Agile and slender, this monitor lizard is arboreal, spending most of its life in trees, and it uses its long, prehensile tail for balance and support as it navigates through branches. Its diet is primarily insectivorous but also consumes small mammals, birds, and eggs, showcasing its adaptability and predatory skills. Green tree monitors are known for their intelligence and curiosity, making them popular yet challenging pets in the exotic animal trade. _____ 🎥 courtesy of: @varanusp #greentreemonitor #varanusprasinus #lizard #coloration #arboreal #lizards #biology #science

Swarms of vibrant little lizards! Here’s the newest clutch of Green Keel Bellied Lizards/Gastropholis prasina. Quick video while I had them all out for yet another habitat cleaning. A high humidity species but such a fun one to work with, they behave very similar to monitors in terms of intelligence but stay a much more manageable size for the average keeper. . . . . . #gastropholisprasina #greenkeelbelliedlizard #lizard #lizardsofinstagram #reptilesofinstagram #reptilesofinsta #reptilephotography #reptileoftheday #petsofinstagram #petsofinsta #exoticpets #herpetology #herpetologia #herpetoculture #reptilekeeper #reptilebreeder
