Spectacular Spider-Man was one of my absolute favorite cartoons growing up, and Greg Weisman went on to create more shows that ended up being my favorites like Young Justice. I love Miles Morales as a character so incredibly deeply, and I’ve always wanted to wear the mask at some point in my career. Not to get into it, but lot of people close to me know how deeply that rabbit hole goes haha. And how close to my heart this is. Somehow in the back of my mind I always fantasized about another season of Spectacular Spider-Man, and maybe, hopefully, in my dream world, if he’s introduced, maybe getting considered to play Miles in that MAYBE. And how mind blowing and fulfilling and crazy cool would that be. So when I got the email FROM GREG WEISMAN THE CREATOR HIMSELF, asking me to play Miles in his comic, cuz he thought I’d make a great Miles, I MIGHT have maybe almost had a mini heart attack. And THEN I got to act alongside the LEGENDARY Josh Keaton and his version of Spider-Man, and I was just in awe. I was nervous!!!! And I (unsuccessfully) tried REALLY hard to hide how much I was fan girling LMAO. and HE said I’m like the Miles of the Spectacular verse, MAAAAAANNNNNNNNNN I ALMOST CRIED RIGHT THERE. It may be a short clip but to ME, it means EVERYTHING. It was nothing short of an absolute honor to play Miles here, and to have been directly considered from Greg himself, and welcomed so warmly by Josh freaking Keaton. I felt like the Miles of the Spectacularverse. And that’s…man that’s crazy given…everything. I can’t thank you all enough, I’m endlessly grateful what a blessing of a lifetime this was, you have NO IDEA how much this means to me, I’ll cherish it forever ❤️ Anyway, I hope y’all enjoy, and go pick up the comic!
