This build was honestly pretty easy but also pretty labor intensive, helps to have some extra hands for this one! I roped my sisters and husband into building this deck for our mom 3 years and it’s held up great! Yes, I leveled and tamped it and used some pavers to create a base - do you need concrete posts? No, this is a “floating deck” that rests right on the ground - what size is the deck? It’s made from all 8ft boards — so it’s 8 ft x 16 ft - what color did you paint the deck? I color-matched the deck paint (@Behr deck over) to their “dark mocha” shade - what wood did you use? I used ground contact, pressure treated lumber, 2x6 boards for the base plus decking boards on top - is there space between the top boards?
