Hackney Marshes parkrun 🌳 Beautiful run this morning over in East London at Hackney Marshes. Another parkrun, 'side quest' is to improve my volunteer to run record. So I thought the oppotunity of doing both was a no-brainer. Pacing the 33 minutes team. Extremely wholesome watching and helping others to get their PB's. A young lad was keeping pace all the way and managed to pull ahead in the final 500m to get a PB 👏👏 Talking of PBs, Millie my girlfriend, also managed to pull ahead and clocked another PB this year!! parkrun number 98 for her as well, only 2 to go!! 👏 Again talking of PB's after parkrun, I headed to Victoria Park, also in East London to watch my mate, get a 7 minute PB, and also clocking a Sub 1:30 half!! 👏 Alot of inspiration taken from this weekend!! @parkrunuk @hackneyparkrun @brooksrunninguk #parkrun #run #running #5Km #halfmarathon #Brooks #fyp #foryoupage #runningcommunity #runningcontent #hackneymarshes #hackneymarshesparkrun

We need to take Hackney back ✊️ No more profiteering landlords allowing shopfronts to sit empty for years on end. No more council spaces sitting empty and unused, when incredible community organisations - like @community_food_hub shown in this video - are looking for more space. A Green-led council will commission a public, borough-wide investigation to find out ‘Who Owns Hackney’. 🤝 We will prioritise the needs of residents when it comes to ownership and the use of land in Hackney. 🤝 We will reassess how we use council space to ensure equity of access amongst voluntary organisations and community groups. 🤝 We will protect Hackney’s heritage by supporting the conservation of community assets and local landmarks, including Ridley Road Market.
