This my favorite way to make peach cobbler. All them new techniques with pie crust just don’t hit the same. This way leaves you with a buttery, cake-like crust in every bite. The key to the batter is equal parts self rising flour, milk and sugar. For this half recipe— Peaches 1 jar of peaches with 1/2 the juice, tablespoon of vanilla and 1/2c of brown sugar. And your choice of how much cinnamon. For the batter I did 1/2c of milk,flour, and white sugar. Pour into a preheated pan with 1/2 stick of melted butter. Bake on 350 for about 45 mins How do yall like your peach cobbler?

PEACH COBBLER RECIPE 🍑🍨 Peach base: ✨ 2 cans sliced peaches (drained) / 4 peaches, peeled and sliced ✨ 120ml water ✨ 100g brown sugar ✨ 50g granulated sugar ✨ 1 tsp cinnamon ✨ 1 tsp nutmeg ✨ 2 tbsp vanilla essence ✨ Juice from 1 small lemon ✨ 1 tsp cornflour mixed with a little bit of water to make a slurry ✨ 50g butter Cobbler topping: ✨ 120g unsalted butter, melted ✨ 150g self-raising flour ✨ 100g caster sugar ✨ 50g demerara sugar ✨ 240ml milk ✨ Pinch of salt ✨ 2 tsp vanilla essence METHOD 1. Heat oven to 180°C. 2. Coat baking dish in butter. 3. Simmer peaches, liquid, sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla, lemon & cornflour for 5 mins on a low heat until saucy. 4. Mix the cobbler topping ingredients, then leave to rest for 5 minutes and don't stir again. 5. Pour the peach mixture into the baking dish, then spoon the cobbler topping on top. 6. Bake in the oven for 30mins until golden and bubbling. 7. Leave the cobbler to rest for a few minutes, then serve with ice cream (I suggest salted caramel 🤤)
