The Hammer Strength Gen 1 Isolateral Plate Loaded Pullover is one of our four plate loaded pullovers that we keep on the floor here at Mableton. The Gen 2 Isolateral Plate Loaded pullover is shorter, deeper, and sits at a more reclined angle. The machine on the right side of the screen is the Gen 2. I like using a machine like this because it helps ensure that you’re not overcompensating with one side to make up for weakness on the other. My right shoulder is much more problematic than my left, so hitting a few sets to make sure I’m roughly trained equally is helpful. Decent stretch and a great Iso squeeze. Again, just focus on the muscle you’re trying to work and don’t worry about fitting exactly how the machine wants to move. Finish that squeeze as if it were a mid row.
