God's chosen people, the faithful Jews who heeded His call, embraced the Messiah and became the very first Christians, as foretold in Isaiah 53 and fulfilled in Acts 2:41. But those who rejected Him? Jesus Himself warned in John 8:44, "You belong to your father, the devil," and in Revelation 3:9, He exposed them "I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan". Romans 11:7-8, What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded. Just as it is written: “God has given them a spirit of stupor, Eyes that they should not see and ears that they should not hear, to this very day.” And David says: “Let their table become a snare and a trap, a stumbling block and a recompense to them. Let their eyes be darkened, so that they do not see, and bow down their back always.” Today's remnant echoes this truth: the true heirs are those grafted in by faith. Wake up! 🔥🔥When asked why you believe the Bible and that God’s exists, these six easy-to-remember things will help you frame and keep the conversation going. I understand how some become skeptical. Life is hard and evolutionary fables condition them toward unbelief. Hang on to them, you’ll need them: 1. Creation (Psa. 19:1-6). Wherever you look creation bears evidence of intelligent design and purpose. Only One was there in the beginning and He said He did it (Gen. 1:1) 2. Conscience (Rom. 2:12-15). God has placed His moral law in every heart and gives light that bears witness to every man. Like it or not, when you do wrong, it points to a Moral Lawgiver. His name is Jesus. 3. Christ (1 Tim. 3:16). No one has disproven the man, message, manner of life, miracles, mission and death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. Many have tried; all have failed. 4. Communication (2 Tim. 3:15-17). The Bible is like no other book, in fact, it’s the indestructible book because God said he wrote it, preserved it, and you have it today. 5. Country of Israel (Deut. 4:35). God Himself said He would use Israel as proof of His existence. Say what you will, but when you study their history, it’s compelling evidence. 6. Conversion (Rom. 5:6-11). Who can deny or explain what happened in my life when I was finally sick of my sin and self, walked a few steps in my living room, and bowed the knees, confessed my sin and asked Jesus to forgive and make me free. He did! Look, these aren’t the only evidence that point to God, but if you’ll remember these six C’s you can have a pretty good conversation and answer some basic questions. What if there actually was no God, but there was something that created humanity. What if you’ve been alive in many different forms since the beginning of time and everything you see around you, you actually participated in creating? What if the God you believe in is not an illusion, but just another being like you that created a system and trapped everybody in it where you are constantly reborn but forgetting where you came from. And you go through cycles of forgetting so that you’ll never question the authority of this one being. And what if that one being eventually lost control of the system and became trapped as well? And what if your belief in God was preventing you and everyone else from seeing that The only way out of this trap is for us to create something that is best for everybody. Is your faith based on truly knowing or is it a feeling that you’re confusing with knowing? And what if that feeling was also a part of the trap? This Isn’t What Jesus Preached Somewhere along the way, the gospel got twisted. Jesus didn’t spend his ministry preaching a formula for getting into heaven. He preached the Kingdom of God. A way of life we’re invited to live right now. But over time, the message got reduced to a transaction. Say the right words, believe the right thing, and you’re in. That version is easier to sell, but it leaves out almost everything Jesus actually taught. It also taught people that they’re broken, unworthy, and disgusting to God, instead of children created in His image and deeply loved. That kind of message doesn’t heal people.
