The main part of our stable is finally finished and here is the result 🐴🧹 It may look fancy but that’s because it’s made for me and my needs, and not the horses 🤭 They could not care less about brass details and hardwood decorative mouldings, but I sure do. But don’t worry, they got all of their needs met as well; friends, forage and freedom. I’m thrilled to have this here at home after three whole years of building! 🥹 The horses live on a paddock paradise setup and the indoor spaces here are designed for convenience with a large focus on equine welfare 🫶🏻 Some features we are super happy with is that the horses can always see and touch each other and it is designed for handling the horses at liberty, with a focus on making it easy for the horses to choose themselves. For herd animals that’s a must. An open layout focusing on choice rather than restriction and confinement. Meet Hester This sweet 4-year-old Flemish Giant came to us years ago with her 8 babies — and just returned unexpectedly. She has a lump under her chin that was drained, and now needs it flushed twice a day. Her vet care has already started at $2,000 — and that’s just the beginning. My first ride with Alphabet 😍 I mean he is really something this one, such a sweet horse😍 a bit sensitive but having a lot of good personality, super nice movements and he really got a heart for jumping!🤩 I chose to use the dressage saddle for the first try, but he wanted us to jump (notice at one of the clips when I try to pass the jump and he wants to jump the vertical 😛). So then ofc I had to do what he asked and we finished with some jumps. And WOW what a fun horse he is to jump!
