Hyperextensions for ERECTORS = full spinal extension If your goal is lower-back strength (erectors), you do extend through the spine: • Torso rises past neutral • Erectors shorten hard at the top • Glutes assist, but the erectors dominate This is NOT the version you use for glute hypertrophy. 2. Hyperextensions for GLUTES = neutral spine, hip movement only This is where 99% of people mess up.
