Quantum entanglement is a physical phenomenon where two particles interact in a special way and become linked by a shared quantum state. After entanglement, the properties of one particle—such as spin or polarization—are directly correlated with the other, even when separated by large distances. Measuring one particle instantly fixes the outcome of the other, not by sending signals, but because their states are described by a single quantum system. Entanglement can only form under highly controlled conditions and is extremely fragile; interactions with the environment quickly destroy it through decoherence. Econophysics & QUANTUM FINANCE Today I’ve watched yt video by Nikitas Stamatopoulos, Vice President for Quantitative Research/Quantum Computing at JPMorgan Chase & Co. 🔻JPMorgan Chase spends more than $11B a year to be at the forefront of technological innovation. 🔻IBM Q Network members since late 2017. 🔻Established Quantum Working Group including full time quantum computing researchers. 🔻Identifying promising use cases, develop prototypes and understand the potential impact of the field on their business. Here in the video I mention how the intersection between Physics (and math) and Economics created Econophysics and give you examples of approaches widely used in finance. 1. Stochastic calculus (borrowed from Physics), main equation: Black-Scholes equation 2-5. Monte-Carlo, Time series analysis, Optimization algorithms Quantum Finance is offering speed ups and leverage in comparison to some classical algorithms. Still emerging area but already with proven advantages. I will explore this direction too to find quantum advantage.
