Yesterday, NOAA’s GOES West (GOES-18) satellite captured this stunning imagery of the eye of Hurricane Kiko as it became a powerful, Category 4 storm over the Pacific Ocean. Today, the National Hurricane Center says the storm is a little weaker, but could re-intensify as it continues westward, well to the East-Southeast of the Hawaiian Islands. While it is too soon to determine the exact location or magnitude of impacts, the threat of wind and rain from the hurricane is increasing for Hawaii. * * #GOESWest #GOES18 #Satellite #Satellites #Imagery #SatelliteImagery #Weather #Storm #Hurricane #Kiko #HurricaneKiko #Hawaii

Our stormy sun released two spectacular solar prominences on August 20, 2025, and the Solar Ultraviolet Imager (SUVI) onboard NOAA’s GOES West (GOES-19) satellite caught the eruptions. With the upcoming launch of NOAA’s SWFO-L1 satellite this fall, we’ll gain even more insight into these events to support the Space Weather Prediction Center’s forecasts. * * #GOESEast #GOES19 #Imagery #Satellite #Satellites #SatelliteImagery #Sun #Solar #SpaceWeather #SolarEruption #Eruption #Prominence #SolarProminence #Space #SWFOL1 #LetsGoSWFO #SWFOLaunch

Small shifts in focus can create big changes in your body ✨ Every time you use imagery, you strengthen the connection between your brain and your muscles. In this week’s Movement Monday, Jenny uses simple, vivid cues like “brushing through bath bubbles” and “lifting water from a stream” to guide you into the movement in a whole new way. With imagery, your brain instantly understands how to do the movement, activating the correct muscles while releasing the ones that don’t need to work. As you follow along, remember: it’s not about rushing through the exercise. Moving slowly and staying relaxed allows you to feel the correct muscles working with purpose, while layers of hidden tension begin to melt away.
