INTO President Anne Horan represented the union this week at the Inclusive Education for All Needs conference in Chisinau, Moldova. Hosted by the European Sectoral Social Partners in Education, the event brought together unions, employers and education experts to advance the inclusion of learners with special educational needs across Europe. Our second day at @settvlaanderen Sett Vlaanderen , in the edtechstation Village, we had an important conversation yesterday about digitalisation in education — and what it actually needs to deliver. Schools are being asked to do more with fewer resources. Inclusion is no longer a parallel structure. It is a whole-school responsibility. IT4ALL is a special W.TEC programme designed to make digital skills accessible, practical, and inclusive for youths living with developmental learning disabilities. The weekly IT4ALL session was highly engaging and impactful. Participants actively took part in hands-on activities that encouraged learning through practice rather than theory alone. Through these activities, they improved their basic digital literacy, problem-solving skills, and understanding of fundamental concepts in a simple and interactive way. The session also promoted teamwork, focus, and confidence, as learners were able to apply what they were taught and see real results from their efforts. Overall, the session successfully reinforced learning objectives and supported inclusive, practical learning for all participants.

We are pleased to share that the NEW ABC project has been featured as a Success Story by the European Commission’s Research & Innovation platform. NEW ABC (Networking the Educational World: Across Boundaries for Community-building) developed participatory approaches to support the inclusion of children with migrant backgrounds across Europe. Through nine pilot actions co-created with children, youth and stakeholders, the project contributed to more inclusive education systems and stronger communities. The project was implemented in Cyprus with SYNTHESIS as a partner, with @rhizome_3.0 serving as Lead Project Manager.
