The Only Instagram Carousel Strategy You Will Ever Need. Your Instagram carousels can get you way more reach than your reels, but you have to follow these four rules. Rule 1) your title slide has to immediately hook your audience. A title slide has 3 parts • big bold headline - this is so that when I’m on the explore page it’s big enough for me to read to understand what it’s about and it stands out. • emotional pull - your carousel needs to evoke emotion in someone. • curiosity - your carousel has to be curiosity driven so that I want to swipe to get the rest. Rule 2) your second slide of your carousel is just as important if not more than your title slide. If someone does not engage with your title slide, they will be shown the second slide at a later time when they log back onto Instagram as another opportunity to engage with your carousel. This means your second slide needs to hook your audience. Rule 3) every slide needs to be engineered for shares. Bonus: you can check your analytics to see which slide people like most so that you know what is resonating with your audience. Rule 4) add a trending audio to your carousels.
